We have added the complete transcription of the 6-string guitar realization in a score (numbered chords, chord voicing and rhythm patterns, conventions, etc) to the 6-string guitar pack. We have included the tablature (TAB) to the score in addition to the formal musical notation.

2) With the audio containing only pandeiro, your instrument and solo, dive into the execution specifics of the instrument by the master player of our original recording. Lower the tempo, loop difficult segments, etc, until you get it. The volume of the solo instrument has been slightly decreased, so you can clearly observe all the nuances of the original instrument performance.

3) Now play the instrument part yourself with the pandeiro and solo track.

Israel Bueno de Almeida

Instrumentalist, arranger and composer Israel Bueno de Almeira was born in São Paulo and mainly performs with the oldest instrumental group in the city, “Izaias e seus Chorões.” Israel combines his experience in Brazilian popular music to his classical training in classical guitar he obtained at “Conservatório Dramático e Musical de São Paulo.” He appeared in recordings of about twenty LPs and CDs, as instrumentalist and arranger with the most important musicians of Brazil.

Italo Peron

Italo Peron, musical producer, violinist, arranger and composer, has been working since 1980 on his own projects as well as those of other artists, including Paulo Vanzolini, Francis Hime, Carlinhos Vergueiro, Diana Pequeno and Robert Miranda, among others. Peron’s projects involve the creation, arrangement and recording of jingles, soundtracks and albums, and he’s completed over 200 titles. In 2009 he served as musical director for the Brazilian documentary Um Homem de Moral (‘A man of morals’), about the composer Paulo Vanzolini.

Arnaldinho do Cavaco

Multi-instrumentalist (acoustic guitar, cavaquinho, 7-string guitar and mandolin), arranger and composer, he began his musical career participating in choro jams with his father and considers Luizinho 7-cordas from São Paulo to be the decisive character in his musical education. Gives guitar and cavaco lessons and organizes the traditional choro jam on Saturdays at Contemporânea Instrumentos in São Paulo.

Adriano Busko

Adriano Busko has been a percussionist since 1980. He studied drums and percussion with Master Dinho Gonçalves at the Paulista Academy of Music, where he was a student of Jose Eduardo Nazario. He holds a degree in Music from UNIMES Virtual. He has worked alongside Luiz Gonzaga, Geraldo Filme, Paulo Moura, Dominguinhos, Elton Medeiros, Emilinha Borba, Paulo Vanzolini, Renato Anesi, Pery Ribeiro, Maria Alcina, Carmen Costa, and Miltinho, among others.

Paulão 7 cordas

Paulo Roberto Pereira Araújo started his musical studies as a child. In 1976 joined the ensemble of the mandolinist Walter Moura as a guitar player and later on as a 7-string guitar player. In 1980 he joined the ensemble “Naquele Tempo,” and participated in recordings and shows with great samba players in Rio de Janeiro. In the 1990s he became producer and artistic director of CDs, DVDs and shows. Paulão 7 cordas is currently the musical director and guitar player of the singer and composer Zeca Pagodinho.

Charles da Costa

Guitar player and member of Silvério Pontes and Zé da Velha choro ensemble for more than 10 years. In the last 7 years, Charles has been accompanying singer and composer Luiz Melodia in tours in Brazil and abroad and participated in the last CD and DVD of Luiz Melodia called “Estação Melodia.” Charles had the opportunity to play with Beth Carvalho, Grupo Fundo de Quintal and Elza Soares, among others.

Alessandro Cardozo

Cavaquinho player and composer, Alessandro started his career at 8 years old. For more than 10 years he has been actively playing with Zé da Velha (trombone) and Silvério Pontes (trumpet). In the last 7 years, Alessandro has been accompanying singer and composer Luiz Melodia in tours in Brazil and abroad and participated in the last CD and DVD of Luiz Melodia called “Estação Melodia.” Alessandro has played with Beth Carvalho, Grupo Fundo de Quintal and Elza Soares, among others.

Netinho Albuquerque

Born in Duque de Caxias (state of RJ), Netinho is the nephew of master Jorginho do Pandeiro, who has also been his professor. He started playing the pandeiro at age 13 and from that point on, has played with many groups and singers such as: Dna. Ivone Lara, Luiz Melodia, Guilherme de Brito, Ademilde Fonseca, Violeta Cavalcante, Beth Carvalho, Conjunto Época de Ouro, Nó em pingo D’Água and Elton Medeiros, among others.

André Bellieny

Self-taught, studied with Dino 7 cordas in 1994 and Luiz Otávio Braga in 1995. Founded Conjunto Sarau in 1997 with Bruno Rian (mandolin), Sérgio Prata (cavaquinho) and Agenor (pandeiro). Performed with band “Caluda Tamborins” in Mário Lago’s show “Causos e Canções” for 4 years. Bellieny has been playing with Regional Época de Ouro since 2005.

Darly Guimarães

Darly Ângelo Guimarães was born in 1935 (RJ) and passed away in 2010. At 17 was invited by pianist Cesar Cruz to join “Regional de Joao de Oliveira.” With the departure of Joao de Oliveira, Darly took over and the ensemble was named “Regional de Darly do pandeiro.” In 1964 left Radio Maua to join Radio Rio de Janeiro, staying there for about a year. Darly was the organizer of “Conjunto Esquema 6” and in 1978 joined Deo Rian’s regional “Noites Cariocas” where he stayed until his death.

Márcio Almeida

Born in Rio de Janeiro, started his professional career at 14 years old. In 1997 won two Sharp music awards (best CD and best ensemble) with the CD “Paulo Moura e os Batutas.” In 2000 won the Latin Grammy Award with the same CD. Recorded with Chico Buarque, Fundo de Quintal, Bezerra da Silva, Altamiro Carrilho, Paulo Moura, Beth Carvalho, Martinho da Vila, Zeca Pagodinho, Exalta Samba, Ivan Lins, Leila Pinheiro, Elba Ramalho, among others.

Ubyratan de Oliveira

Ubyratan Vitor de Oliveira, Bira, was born in 1939 in Rio de Janeiro. Self-taught, plays cavaquinho since 15 years of age. He was part of the Regional de Pernambuco do Pandeiro, along with Hermeto Pascoal, and later moved to Rádio Mauá, where he stayed for 10 years. Besides being a musician, Bira also worked as a radiotelegraphist at Panair, Varig and The Ministry of Agriculture. He joined “Regional de Déo Rian” replacing Marcio Hulk, who had left to play with Altamiro Carrilho.
